ROBBIE KEANE GOT in the mood for Wembley last night with no less than three goals and an assist as LA Galaxy breezed past the Seattle Sounders.
The Ireland captain set up Sean Franklin’s 12th minute goal before getting on the score-sheet himself in the 24th, 34th and 44th minute.
Not enough fours for you? The game ended 4-0, the points safely secured before Keane replaced after 73 minutes.
Keane’s second came from the penalty spot, but he needed two bites at the cherry. After the foul was (harshly) given against Djimi Traore Michael Gspurning saved Keane’s weak first effort. He moved too far off his line, however, and Keane slotted the re-take to the other side.
The game also witnessed the return to competition of Robbie Rogers for the first time since announcing he was gay early this year.
Here’s all the action.
