IT’S GOING TO be an interesting season at Eastlands isn’t it?
Yesterday, Man City manager Roberto Mancini hauled off Italian striker Mario Balotelli in a blaze of indignity.
The young forward tried to score with an audacious, twirling back heel when clear through on goal against LA Galaxy.
He missed, was subbed and Mancini is not happy.
Balotelli claimed afterwards that he thought he was offside so didn’t realise his extravagant pirouette mattered. Mancini says his player needs to learn some respect.
“I hope this is a lesson for him,” Mancini told various newspapers after the match in which City won 7-6 on penalties after it ended 1-1 in normal time.
“In football you always need to be professional, always serious and in this moment he wasn’t professional. If you are serious, you can play 90 minutes. If not, you can come and sit by me on the bench.”
What’s your verdict?
This guy needs a Psych evaluation. Poor chap has obviously lacked any sort of parental control and is trying to make something of himself without any sort of previous guidance or role model to look up to. Sad way to begin a great career. Some life coaching on how to conduct oneself on and off the pitch is what he needs.
He might not be able to score with a back-heel but at least he can put on a training bib….oh wait, he can’t LOL
Not the first time he’s made a tit of himself, and hopefully wont be the last. I found his ‘effort’ on goal hilarious! What a div!
