Go on Cork finish the job
Hahahaha cheerio Henry and cheerio Kilkenny. Try and enjoy Bruce tonight!! Delighted for ye…without doubt the most arrogant, ignorant shower of sore losers and bad winners iv ever seen!! Ye are finished, Cody making excuses now as well. Typical Kilkenny attitude. Haha …hon the premier!
Remind us again when Tipp crashed out of the competition? If KK are finished having reached an All Ireland QF what does that say about Tipp? And no I’m not from KK.
Seamus no need to gloat, it’s unbecoming of a GAA fan.
And Cody made no excuses either..
I can gloat all I want…generally speaking I m very dignified n respectful win/lose or draw but that all goes out the window when Kk are involved! Anyone who has been to a game that Kk were playing and heard their supporters will know exactly what I’m on about! They deserve a bit of their own medicine..looks like alot of them don’t like the shoe on the other foot! Ha
Ass
@ Seamus… The most arrogant and ignorant, really! Have you read your own comment back?!
Dry ur eyes Richie lad! Take ye re beating…no need for the bitterness : )
Dead right Seamus Kk fans are a horrible crowd . Nothing against the team at all.
Richie Power is badly concussed even with a helmet on. Must have been a terrible blow, albeit an accident. Get well soon lad
Second yellow deserved.
Legend of the game. No one can say otherwise. I for one hope he makes it back next year
Lets all face facts. Kilkenny are finished. C’mon the rebels.
At least he had the decency to walk of the pitch when shown red, unlike the typical GAA attitude of shouting at the referee
Regardless who you support it’s hurling folks. You don’t get sent off for that. Schools level maybe but not at this level. We love our sport because its not soft like some other sports I won’t mention.( Soccerball)
Plus 1 Im from Cork & its a terrible decision. I dont think KK can beat Cork anyway but this referee is awful.
King Henry my hole…Come on the rebels
Both of you nasty and crude.
I agree wit u totally a load of sh”"t Henry only a player sick of hearing about him showed him up tday
Really harsh decision. He should not have got a second yellow.
For the high challenge? That’s documented in the rule book?
Unfortunately that rule book is not consistant in all areas. Im watching the match on tv & its clear he did nothing deliberate & tried his best not to foul the player. Soft yellow card for this caliber of player.
A high challenge is a high challenge; I don’t see how intent or lack can be mitigating. And top calibre players shouldn’t get preferential treatment.
Correct decision. One of the few by Kelly.
The referee has destroyed the game.
He’s cat.
Colin back to the premiership it suits your style. As your from Wexford we’ll have to view your opinions with a certain lack of respect as wexford show little understanding of the small ball.
It’s the same in rugby. If you tip a player beyond the horizontal it’s a red. Even if you bring him down safely.
I see what you did there mjhint!
You got crucified in an argument after making a silly comment, so you got personal & tried the distraction tactic. Clever!
And there was me thinking Wexford were u21 Leinster hurling champions. And 3 in a row camogie All Ireland champions. But I have an interest in more than one sport, so it’s irrelevant.
Im surprised you see what i did. Your not the only one that has an interest in other sports but unlike yours mine is healthy. Your view of the Shefflin sending off goes against every pundit on the tv & those of us that love the game no matter who wins. A couple of u21 wins hardly make you qualified to disrepect a great player like Henry Shefflin & when he finishes his hurling career there wont be a whole team in wexford that will ever come near his achievements. If this is Henrys last game its a sad reflection on the referee.
It’s you’re, and it doesn’t matter who the man is or what he’s won, a tackle around the neck is a yellow card.
Should the letter of the law apply only to men who haven’t won an all Ireland? How do you need to win until the rules don’t apply to you, two? Three?
Disrespecting a player because I said it was a yellow card?
You’re a sensitive soul. No wonder you don’t have the balls to show your face.
Henry Shefflin is one of the greatest hurlers ever, and I was sorry to see Kilkenny lose. But the best team did win. So, well done Cork. Kilkenny are a top team with a top manager & top players. For you to suggest I’ve said otherwise highlights your inability to comprehensively interpret a sentence.
But you seem to think it’s ok to disrespect a small county like Wexford who’ve provided some superb hurlers, footballers, camogie players & rugby players over the years. I suspect you had no problem cheering on the Billy Walsh coached boxers in the Olympics last summer.
I wouldn’t dare insult Kilkenny or Shefflin. And I wouldn’t dare insult Cork, a place I’ve lived in.
Also, it highlights your inability to interpret a rule. High challenge = yellow. Show me where it says otherwise. Alternatively, pipe down.
So since you love the game so much, I hope you didn’t get caught in the traffic coming out of Thurles today.
Who is sensative now.
I’ll be honest, mjhint. I don’t like judging a person on their education levels.
But that last reply may be a clue as to what I’m up against in this debate.
Put on your trousers, and stand away from your PC for an hour or two. Go for a walk. Get some air. Try to engage with real humans.
I’m off out with my wife.
Later.
It was the first one he shouldnt have got.
I agree the first one was either no yellow or very harsh, after that though he should have minded how he tackled.
He would have been much more useful to KK up the field rather than tackling in the halfback line
In fairness you can’t blame Shefflin and the lads, the boss is playing in Nowlan park later…..
Just watched Codys interview in fairness they dont loose to often but they could teach us all a lesson about being gracious in defeat. Guess karma caught up with them a bit today. ..they’re getting away with them niggly fouls for years. ..they’ll b back tho. .anyway im a clareman so Hon the banner lads
Bitter Cork people on here made out Limerick only won Munster final because of sending off. Somehow I bet their view of playing against 14 men has now changed.
no, better team won that game like they did today!
Stephen thats a total generalisation. I think Shefflins sending off was wrong & its not the only bad decision this ref made on both sides. As a Cork man I am proud of the result today but see the need for a big improvement in Cork. Im also of the view that Limericks win is good for hurling so you need to adjust your mindset. Like your opinions on hurling it needs a lot of adjustment.
@stephen nope, limerick deserved that win against cork by far the better team. And when they won alot of people I know said if cork didn’t make it they hoped Limerick win it out.
ref is poor and showing bias towards Cork but people who say Shefflin sending off was harsh?? a tackle round the neck is dangerous it deserves a yellow and sending off. the first yellow was harsh though. also don’t know how Shane O Neill is still on field after his dig in the first half and his pull on Eoin Larkin for the penelty. Also Anthony Nash best goalkeeper in the country
The rules are the same at all levels of the game and for all players. The problem is that they’re not applied with a great deal of consistency. Henry deserved to go, good call. O Neil also deserved to go, bad call by the referee. Aside from that, shefflin shouldn’t have been on the field to begin with. Clearly not fit enough to merit starting, and should have been withdrawn by Cody when it was clear that he wasn’t up to the pace of the game. Any other player besides Henry and you can be sure Cody would have been ruthless enough to make that call.
id say King Henry will retire now?? a year too far for him
The king is dead!
I’m nearly sure he got sent off and not killed?
Great to see the cork players reaction to the sending off, great sportsmanship, and I’m not a Kilkenny man, but come on lads.
H.S. is a decent decent but hard hurler. The high tackle was a heat-of-the-moment instinctive act, … He pulled out of it as soon as he realised what he was doing, and there was no malicious intent whatever. The reaction of the offended cork man was unsportsmanlike. For Henry to finish his career in a series of half matches due to injury, then a red card in his last championship match is a travesty. I am gutted for him.
How much had the ref on cork to win ?? Com on Galway
Is that Germany manager, Joachim Low, in the crowd at 0:28?
Grow up,give it and take it…are we going to play soccer or gaa in the coming yrs…thats not a sending off..it was q mans game now becoming tv English soccer analysis..take a hit give a hit..if it’s dirty u walk if not get on wit it have respect…bring back the shoulder
