What a sensational result. The Cats are gone as the Rebels advance to play Dublin in the All-Ireland semi-final on August 11th.

Kilkenny fans are applauding their players off the pitch. This was one step too far in their remarkable summer and the sending-off of Henry Shefflin was obviously a massive setback.

But credit to Cork, they had bossed the first-half when Kilkenny had 15 men at their disposal and established a strong grip on this game. That’s all from us after the first match this afternoon. Thanks for joining us and for all your comments.
