THOUSANDS OF MILES from Dublin, Robbie Keane showed off the clinical finishing that his country missed last night.
A couple of hours after Irelandโs 2-1 defeat against Turkey, Keane starred in the LA Galaxyโs 4-1 MLS win over Philadelphia Union.
In the 64th minute, he pounced on a mistake by Sheanon Williams and raced clear to slot his shot between the keeperโs legs.
Yes, it still deserved a cartwheel.
But the big story of the night belonged to team-mate Landon Donovan who, days after being dropped from the US World Cup squad, made history with two goals to break the MLS scoring record.
Keane, who laid on the two assists, said: โI think the timing of it couldnโt have come any better for him.
โWe all know that relationship between me and Landon has been fantastic the last few years, and we saw that again tonight.โ
He ran 35 yards with the ball, under pressure from the defender the whole time and still had keeper to beat! Far from a tap in
One of tbe easiest goals? You having a laugh?
Still had plenty to do in fairness
Stay sharp and fit Robbie,we need you!!!!
Great goal
Stay fit Robbie. Yesterday shows we still need you. Irish Legend.
His goal celebrations make me cringe.
What do his goals for Ireland make you do?
Jump for joy
34 years old and still doing cartwheels, pretty sad if you ask me!!!
Thatโs ageist!
Whatโs the recommended age to stop doing cartwheels ?
Luckily, nobodyโs asking ya pal! :)
