Everton slip to defeat at home to Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace hit three at Goodison Park.

GOALS FROM JASON Puncheon, Scott Dann and Cameron Jerome put a severe dent into Everton’s bid for a top four place as Crystal Palace ran out 3 – 2 winners at Goodison Park

Puncheon stabbed in this first-half goal to give the visitors the lead and just after the break defender Scott Dann powered a header that took a deflection or two before it crossed the line.

Naismith halved the deficit with a 61st minute close-range finish after Leighton Baines headed the ball into his path. But with 18 minutes to go Cameron Jerome rifled in the visitors’ third of the night.

Kevin Mirallas once again rekindled the hope of the home fans with an 86th minute goal, but there was to be no late heroics and the Toffees remain one point off fourth-placed Arsenal.

Tony pulis has done amazing job. Even though he probably wont I think Pulis deserves manager of the year. They were in ruins when he took over.

There’s a few in the running for it – obviously Rodgers at Pool – great job so far, was hoping for top 4 but title challenge is huge improvement… Wrt Pulis – phenomenal job, thought they were dead & buried before he came onboard – to be safe with 3 games to go but also think Steve Bruce has done well at Hull under the radar.. whilst Martinez & Hughes have exceeded expectations too…. tough choice but expect Rodgers to get the nod..

A sucker Punch for the toffees! They still have to play United and City, looking like Arsenal will scrape top 4.

Technically it could still happen. I’d absolutely cream my jocks if it happened.

United are 9 points behind Everton with 2 games in hand and Everton up next after that it’s Norwich, Hull ,Southampton and 1 more I can’t think of that 15 points to put them on 72 if arsenal have any slip ups it could be a great end to the season for United and Moyes will be pushing g his players hard on this behind the scenes but publicly right now he just has to show a hit more steel to the press and United fans are behind him , it’s a best case scenario but it’s not really out of reach for those players if they work hard

You never know colm. Hope is there. I didn’t think Moyes was right from the start and I am still not sure now. if he can get a few results now that we have clicked a bit am willing to give him a chance an see what he can do. Next season onwards and upwards. Still this season for a bit of pride!!!!

Now that’s optimism. That’s like a Gooner like me thinking Arsenal can still pip Pool City and Chelsea for the title.
You’ve got my hopes up now.

Its not likely considering arsneal only need 2 wins to put United out of a possible 4th but it is possible and you never say never
