Keep an eye on Gillingham Stoke.
15.24 – GOAL! Tottenham 1-0 Cheltenham
Giovani lifts the ball over the keeper for Defoe to tap in. A little harsh on Giovani! That was a wonderful effort!
15.27 – Gillingham manfully dealing with Stoke’s long-ball tactics – yes, even at a League Two team – and are fine value for their lead.

More misery for Blackburn and this minutes into stoppage time as Jonas Gutierrez flies down the left to finish!
17.05 – And that’s it. A chaotic day! But, ultimately, quite an enjoyable one with a few talking points. The main ones:
- The big shock came at the County Ground where Swindon knocked out Wigan. Elsewhere, Bolton just about averted a similar upset at Macclesfield as they ca,e back from 2-1 down through James Wheater to draw.
- Blackburn’s misery continued as Newcastle completed a comeback in stoppage time with Jonas Gutierrez giving them a late, late winner. Hatem Ben Arfa had earlier equaliser David Goodwillie’s opener with a superb solo strike.
- It was a good day for the Irish with Simon Cox hitting his first career hat-trick as West Brom beat Cardiff 4-2, and Damien Duff getting back on the pitch and back among the goals in Fulham’s 4-0 win over Charlton.
- In the day’s most romantic game, Everton dispelled any magic with a diligent but dour 2-0 win over lowly Tamworth. Not good for the Toffees that they struggled to score goals against such opposition.
