Chelsea 2-1 Blackburn Rovers
Everton 3-1 Newcastle United
Manchester City 3-2 QPR
Norwich City 2-0 Aston Villa
Stoke City 2-2 Bolton Wanderers
Sunderland 0-1 Manchester United
Swansea City 1-0 Liverpool
Tottenham Hotspur 2-0 Fulham
West Brom 2-3 Arsenal
Wigan 3-2 Wolves
Welcome to the last day of the season. Since the start of the synchronised final-day fixtures, we’ve never seen so much up for grabs: relegation, the Champions League chase and – of course – the title.
The one thing: this has been a season of surprises and twists. All of the current top four have endured drastic collapses at one stage. Will there be one more?
As Gary Neville was inferring there on Sky, City do look very focused… not anxious or nervous. Bad news for United fans. The expectation is surely that they’ll do the business, Arsenal will get third and Bolton stay up… but, given this season, there’ll surely be one more twist.
GOAL! Tottenham 1-0 Fulham
Arsenal have a job to do. It’s 1-0 Spurs as Emmanuel Adebayor slots in after a one-two with Van der Vaart.
GOAL! West Brom 0-1 Arsenal
But Arsenal have done that work! Yossi Benayoun strikes with a tap-in after a Fulop error.
GOAL! Norwich City 1-0 Aston Villa
Grant Holt bundles in after a Bennett free-kick.
GOAL! Wigan 0-1 Wolves
Matt Jarvis strikes in a game that means absolutely nothing.
GOAL! West Brom 1-1 Arsenal
Shane Long strikes to put Arsenal under real pressure. The linesman might feel even more though. That was surely offside.
GOAL! Stoke City 1-0 Bolton Wanderers
Jon Walters picks up the baton from Shane Long in terms of Irish men scoring consequential goals in games that don’t truly have meaning for them. Bolton are on their way down as the striker scrambles home.
GOAL! West Brom 2-1 Arsenal
Oh dear Arsenal! Graham Dorrans latches on to a loose ball and fires home. As it stands, Arsenal are in fourth.
GOAL! Everton 1-0 Newcastle United
Steven Pienaar strikes from distance, via a deflection off Mike Williamson. Not happening for Newcastle.
GOAL! Sunderland 0-1 Manchester United
Things take off in the title race. As it stands, United are on top because Wayne Rooney has struck for the champions, heading in from close range.
GOAL! Norwich 2-0 Aston Villa
It gets worse for Villa as the ‘McLeish out’ chants start. Jackson fires home after a mistake from Cuellar.
Free-kick to City right at the edge of the box after a handball that looked like it might be inside… it’s thumped against the wall.
GOAL! Everton 2-0 Newcastle
Jelavic strikes again. Champions League football is not going to happen for Newcastle.
As Rooney hits the bar, City are struggling to scramble through QPR’s rearguard. The London team just about forced the ball away there as Silva tried to create. They need to win.
GOAL! West Brom 2-2 Arsenal
What a game at the Hawthorns! Santos brings Arsenal back into it by capitalising on a Fulop error. They need another.
Bolton hit the bar at Stoke. Meanwhile, you can really sense the anxiety at Eastlands.
And Rooney has missed an absolute sitter after a flowing United move! They’re battering Sunderland… but not yet putting it out of sight.
Yaya Toure limping at Eastlands. It looks like he’ll have to go off. If City fail today, that would be symbolic.
GOAL! Manchester City 1-0 QPR
They’ve done it Zabaleta forces the ball home after an intricate exchange. As it stands, they will be champions.
GOAL! Stoke City 1-1 Bolton Wanderers
Mark Davies equalises for Bolton. After the title race tilts, so does the battle at the bottom!
Two potentially significant subs: John O’Shea goes off with what appears a hamstring injury; Yaya Toure hobbles off for City.
GOAL! Stoke City 1-2 Bolton Wanderers
And as it stands, it’s Bolton who are staying up! Kevin Davies has just struck QPR must score at Eastlands.
It’s half-time. Manchester City are 45 minutes away from their first title since 1968.
Paddy Kenny really should have done better for that Zabaleta shot. As it stands, QOPR need a goal, and United really need them to get one. Arsenal are the same. They must score.
GOAL! Manchester City 1-1 QPR
Well! There’s the twist! Will it stick? A horrendous mistake by Joleon Lescott allows Djibril Cisse through on goal and he finishes superbly, rifling past Hart!
Nasri drives across goal and Clint Hill deflects it away, almost skewing into his own net.
GOAL! West Brom 2-3 Arsenal
Arsenal are back in third thanks to Koscielny and yet another Fulop error. Tottenham won’t be happy with the Hungarian.
RED CARD! Joey Barton is off after striking Tevez. And he then compounds the incident after kicking Aguero and then trying to go at Balotelli. This is farcical.
After all that, City had a free at the edge of the box which City then almost force through but Kenny makes a superb save.
The ball flashes across the box from a corner but City can’t push it home. Another corner. This has shades of Upton Park 1995.
City think they have the ball over the line but Kenny just grabs it. There was a handball in the build-up… City still need that goal.
GOAL! Tottenham 2-0 Fulham
Defoe essentially confirms Spurs’ victory. They need a favour from West Brom.
GOAL! Manchester City 1-2 QPR
Wow! This is unreal. Mackie has put QPR into the lead with a brilliant header from a Traore cross. City must get two.
They’ve just showed footage of the Barton incident. Tevez did have the first kick, before Barton elbowed him. Still stupid though.
City have put Dzeko on as they look to change up. They’re very sloppy and anxious at the moment.
GOAL! Everton 3-0 Newcastle
Not happening for Newcastle at all. Heitinga has just extended Everton’s lead.
GOAL! Stoke City 2-2 Bolton Wanderers
It really looks like Bolton are going down. Walters has just thrashed home a penalty, after Crouch was fouled in the box.
City’s body language is not good. It’s as if they don’t believe. Someone needs to stand up to be counted.
There are four minutes of normal time left. As it stands, the trophy is hading to Old Trafford for the 20th time.
Balotelli pulls off a remarkable save from a point-blank Balotelli header. What a save! We’re into five minutes of stoppage time!
GOAL! Manchester City 2-2 QPR
Dzeko flashes home a header from a corner. City have three minutes to get the one goal that wins the title. That’s what it comes down to!
United fans,.. they think it’s all over.
City fans…… IT IS NOW.
Ha ha ha ha ha
Talk about bitter!! Im guessing you support a team nowhere near the top. Everyone else here has been quite magnanimous!! Congrats city, have been the best team this season but we will be back next year and hopefully this will make them all the more hungry!
Walk on Sean, you bitter scouse muppet.
Excellent Tweet by Fabrice Muamba.
@fmuamba: I think watching or hearing about football today is not good for my heart.
I HATE MAN UNITED FANS.
:D
You hate a whole group of different people based on the group of lads they shout for on a Saturday, how classy of you!
That’s what Fergie and Man United get for denigrating the League and FA Cups, no trophies, well done Manchester City
Great to see the spiteful few as usual having a go at Sir Alex and his 48 trophies.
Go and have a lie down, good lad.
Without a doubt, what a bloody end. Not the finish i wanted but credit to city, THATS a hallmark of champions. And for Aguero to get it, he deserves it, great goal, great player.
Roll on August.
Cant wait for the new season I have no doubt that the two Manchester clubs will dominate, C’mon City
Just watching the city players out to collect their medals, they have built a really good squad as it should be. Hart, Toure, Aguero, Silva – all quality. Cant help but think a lot are going to be shown the door in the summer too. Johnson, Milner, Adebeyor, Pizzaro, Dzeko, Balotelli etc are complete surplus, especially if hazard, cavanni etc will be signed.
Oh and Kompany too, rock.
Good comment
come on city. they deserve the title
Thats interesting coming from a liverpool fan.
unbelievable. what a finish. best ever
very sad to see irish people calling alex ferguson sir alex.
Get a grip. Plenty of people have no problem refering to Kenny as a King.
Small time argument.
Stunned!!!!!!!!!
Unbelievable Jeff!!!
saying as it is. city best team in England this year. have a great squad. utd will however be kicking themselves over everton game
a wrotten individual joey barton
As a utd fan I would like to say well done city you beat us 6-1 in our ground . It’s a bad way to lose the league but damn it anyway
Go on city!!!
Joey Barton is just a tragedy. Such a waste of talent.. and skin.
Having said that, the game turned at that point.. Perhaps his insanity has actually paid off! I wonder what sports psychologists would have to say about it.
great interview by Alex Ferguson. gracious in defeat, top bloke
As always, epitomises class and sportsmanship.
Funny thing is City might be champions but they’ll NEVER be united and they know it.
Roll on the 12/13 fixtures ASAP.
They have to be like that when interviewed.
Alex Ferguson class and sportsmanship, LOL!!!
Alex Ferguson class and sportsmanship, LOL!!!!
He said ‘Man City were helped by playing against 10 men and 5 minutes of injury time’. Yeah, good loser alright!
What a season, Heart in mouth stuff at the end of that match. hard luck to United. the most formidable oponents by a mile.
That was one of the best seasons ever. Hard luck United you did you’re best today. We will come back stronger next season. Also well done Swansea, Norwich and QPR for staying up
This is why soccer kicks the crap out of other sports! What a day!
You couldn’t make it up!
”Balotelli pulls off a remarkable save from a point-blank Balotelli header.”
Ehh what?!
Joey Barton you g######e.
Joey Barton is a disgrace. I counted 4 different red cardable offences after the initial red. Man is an animal and should be banned for at least 6 months.
jailed for 6 months…
interesting now
Come on United!!!!! Come on QPR. I can see the city fans getting nervous
Bet your happy now!
Unbelievable!!
B7584 Liverpool, City, Arsenal, Spurs, Chelsea, Sunderland, Villa, Everton, for today B5784 and the rest of you MUppets
WE ARE FAMILY. WE ARE ALL FANS OF CITY. I’m on my 6th can hahaha
You are so incredibly small time. Enjoy your hangover, it’ll be a long time before your club has anything to celebrate again.
Oh the irony, City get a billion in oil money to break into the top 4 at YOUR expense, you finish 37 points behind the top 2 teams, spend £100m on garbage, finish 8th and you celebrate Citys win. Good lad.
God i wish i had sky sports, sky sports news will have to do!
Maybe not- come on City!!!!!!!!
They play better without barton sure lol
Balotelli saving his own shot- City are fecked!
It’s only the beginning Sean !
What a match!!!!!
Holy jaysus 2-1
Liverpool lost one nil….
I was reporting a score that was not correct on the report. “Swansea City 0-0 Liverpool” is not the result im a liverpool fan… why so many thumbs down.. i just dont know…

Fair play to City … Top class goals all through the season ….. And PS Man UTd fans ….. Unlucky but no cigar
i’m going to donate €100 to QPR football club if they help United win the title. My heart is beating fast.
I almost had a Connery
No way will I ever say Well done to City. They bought the Premier League Trophy.
City fans have a long time to wait to beat United’s record of 60 trophies. With City’s 14.

Yawn.
The Red Devil (HaHaHa!)
Don’t be so bitter Red devil
PLONKER!
Red devil turns into green monster.
Don’t be so bitter Red Devil, casts aspersions on the rest of us proper united fans!! Congratulate city they’ve done well and be happy for those of their supporters who had to deal with third level football while we were winning the treble
Fckin delighted for Mark Hughes… Time to go Mancini
