Hello, and welcome to tonight’s Champions League action.
We’ll be mainly focusing on the games involving Celtic, Chelsea and Arsenal, but will also keep an eye on the other matches.
As you’ll see above, one game has already finished, with Zenit St Petersburg drawing 1 -1 against Atlético Madrid. You can check out an incredible own goal from that game here.
Arsenal 1-0 Marseille: Jack Wilshere is played through down the right wing. He cuts inside the defender and curls his shot into the corner of the net beautifully (1 min).
Perfect start for Arsenal!
We’ll have more news on this as we get it…
Another swift break by Arsenal ultimately ends with a cross from which Ramsey should do better.
His attempt is straight at the goalkeeper when strikng it either side of the net would have given Arsenal their second goal.
Marseille are already out of the competition, and so, perhaps their less-than-enthusiastic start is less than surprising.
Here are the belated teams (no place for Stokes in the Celtic starting XI)…
CELTIC: Forster, Lustig, Ambrose, Van Dijk, Izaguirre, Forrest, Kayal, Mulgrew, Boerrigter, Commons, Samaras.
CHELSEA: Cech; Ivanovic, Cahill, Terry (c), Azpilicueta; Mikel, Lampard; Ramires, Oscar, Willian; Eto’o
ARSENAL: Szczesny, Sagna, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Monreal, Flamini, Ramsey, Wilshere, Rosicky, Ozil, Giroud
Celtic 0-1 Milan – Kaka has headed Milan into an early lead, partially thanks to some dreadful Celtic marking from a corner (12 mins).
Porto 0-1 Austria Vienna: The Austrian side have taken somewhat of a surprise lead away against Porto. Kienast has scored after 11 minutes.
Ajax 1-0 Barcelona: An unmarked Serero converts a cross to give the Dutch team an early lead (19 mins).
Is Messi’s absence set to be a telling factor for Barca once more?
Mulgrew puts a dangerous cross into the Milan area, but the defender gets to it just ahead of Samaras.
Celtic have actually done quite well apart from that concession of a poor goal.
As I type though, Kaka flashes a powerful shot just wide.
Kayal has had to go off injured, with Joe Ledley coming on in his place.
They’re similar types of players, so it likely won’t make much difference to Celtic’s shape.
Good chance for Mulgrew, as the ball falls fortuitously to him inside the box.
His shot, however, is disappointingly tame.
PENALTY MISS! Ozil is the culprit, as his strike is well saved by the Marseille goalkeeper (36 mins).
Meanwhile, the Gunners fans are singing “are you Tottenham in disguise” to their opponents.
In Switzerland, Basel are absolutely dominating Chelsea.
They have already registered eight shots on target, though the score remains 0-0.
Ajax 2-0 Barcelona: Barca have already qualified, but they won’t be happy if they lose their 20-match unbeaten record.
A goal from Hoesen on 41 minutes has doubled the Dutch side’s advantage.
Bad news, Celtic fans…
Here’s the two goals tonight from tonight’s games involving British clubs (and the one penalty miss).

The ball is lofted into the penalty area and Van Dijk volleys it at the goalkeeper from close range.
Will they get a better chance than that all game?
Milan 2-0 Celtic: Again, Celtic’s marking from a corner is poor and Zapata is able to slot the ball into the net from close range (48 mins).
For all their good play tonight, the Scottish side’s defending hasn’t been acceptable.
Ajax 2-1 Barcelona: A Xavi penalty after 49 minutes has gotten Barca back in the match.
Game on in Holland!
Something tells me the Irish international isn’t a fan of the Celtic full-back.
Celtic 0-3 Milan: Balotelli runs through on goal and brushes off the attempted challenge of Ambrose before finishing neatly into the corner (59 mins).
Game over!
Arsenal 2-0 Marseille: Wilshere gets his second of the night, converting after a lovely pass from Ozil (65 mins).
The outcome of this game has barely been in doubt since the first minute.

Dortmund 2-1 Napoli: Napoli have gotten a goal back against Dortmund.
Insigne on 71 minutes has given the Italian side hope.

Partial much?
A goal from Aubameyang on 78 minutes has effectively sealed Dortmund’s victory over Napoli.
They now lead 3-1.

Basel 1-0 Chelsea: Salah has given the Swiss side the lead on 87 minutes.
It’s a well-deserved goal by most accounts.
FULL-TIME: PORTO 1-1 AUSTRIA VIENNA
FULL-TIME: CELTIC 0-3 MILAN
FULL-TIME: STEAUA BUCHAREST 0-0 SCHALKE
FULL-TIME: AJAX 2-1 BARCELONA
That Ajax result means Celtic aren’t just out of the Champions League but out of Europe entirely.
