Life' goes on: Perpignan confirm Mafi signing

As expected, the Tongan-born centre has sealed his move to France after six years with Munster.

LIFEIMI MAFI HAS secured his move to Top 14 side Perpignan, the club announced publically today.

Former New Zealand U21 centre said farewell to Munster in their RaboDirect Pro12 win over Ulster earlier this month.

As expected, the 29-year-old becomes the ninth player to sign for Perpignan ahead of the new season.

Mafi made 134 appearances for the province after joining from Wellington Hurricanes in 2006 and won the Heineken Cup in 2008 as well as two Magners League titles.

Perpignan, who finished the Top 14 championship in 11th place, have brought in a new manager in Marc Delpoux and eight other new players including Englishman Luke Narraway and Scotsman Alasdair Strokosch, both from Gloucester.
