ST PATRICK’S ATHLETIC player Killian Brennan was named Player of the Year at the PFAI Awards ceremony in Dublin last night.
The midfielder claimed the award ahead of fellow nominees Greg Bolger, Richie Towell and Patrick Hoban.
The accolade represents the icing on the cake amid a fine year for Brennan, as he was instrumental in helping his side win the league for the eighth time in their history.
Meanwhile, Dundalk’s Towell was announced as Young Player of the Year, while Phillip Gorman of Athlone won the First Division Player of the Year honour.
MLS-bound Alan Kelly claimed the Referee of the Year award, and Everton’s Seamus Coleman was named Overseas Player of the Year.
