GAA announce details of fixtures

The dates, venues and times have been released ahead of a hectic few weeks of GAA action.

CROKE PARK WILL host two double-headers next weekend with all four of the All-Ireland senior football quarter-finals set to be down for decision.

Following last night’s draw which determined the pairings, it has been announced following a meeting of the CCCC in Thurles this evening that Down will face Mayo in Croke Park on Saturday evening at 5pm with Dublin then meeting Laois at the venue at 7pm.

The following day Cork will face Kildare in Croke Park at 2pm followed by Donegal against Kerry in Croke Park at 4pm. There are also four All-Ireland minor football quarter-finals and an All-Ireland junior football semi-final down for decision next week.

Saturday August 4th: All-Ireland SFC quarter-finals: Mayo v Down, Croke Park, 5pm; Dublin v Laois, Croke Park, 7pm.
All-Ireland MFC quarter-final: Mayo v Tipperary, Croke Park, 3pm.
All-Ireland JFC semi-final: Mayo v Lancashire, Old Bedians Sports Ground, Manchester, 2.30pm.
Sunday August 5th: All-Ireland SFC quarter-finals: Cork v Kildare, Croke Park, 2pm; Kerry v Donegal, Croke Park, 4pm.
All-Ireland MFC quarter-finals: Roscommon v Kerry, Croke Park, 12pm; Dublin v Monaghan, Páirc Esler, Newry, 5.30pm; Tyrone v Meath, Páirc Esler, Newry, 7.15pm.
Saturday August 11th: All-Ireland JFC semi-final: Kerry v Cavan, Nenagh, 3.30pm.

Details have also been revealed for the upcoming All-Ireland senior and minor hurling semi-final ties.

Sunday August 12th: All-Ireland SHC semi-final: Cork v Galway, Croke Park, 3.30pm.
All-Ireland MHC semi-final: Clare v Dublin, Croke Park, 1.30pm.
Sunday August 19th: All-Ireland SHC semi-final: Tipperary v Kilkenny, Croke Park, 3.30pm.
All-Ireland MHC semi-final: Tipperary v Galway, Croke Park, 1.30pm.

    Stupid playing Mayo and Down all the way to Dublin. Should be played in Sligo.

    Then don’t qualify for the quarter finals. The matches at the business end are always in Croker
