The Arsenal boss wasn’t too happy about bone-crunching challenges like this one on Theo Walcott.
12. He never won a trophy but God knows he kept trying
Moyes saw Louis Saha hit the net after 25 seconds of the 2009 FA Cup final against Chelsea but Everton were 2-1 down when the final whistle blew.

6. And when he got it wrong in the transfer market, it was entertaining
Per Kroldrup was signed from Udinese for £5m in June 2005. Then by January 2006, he was gone back to Italy when he joined Fiorentina after only playing two games for Everton. In 2007 The Times named him as the worst transfer in the history of the Premier League and there were rumours that Everton had signed the wrong player.

Andy Van Der Meyde was recruited in August 2005 and stayed with the club until June 2009. But his stint was an ill-fated one due to off-field problems that were summed up when HP De Tijd reported that Van der Meyde left Royston Drenthe an impassioned voicemail in August 2011 before his fellow Dutchman moved on loan to Everton.
“Royston, I hear that you are on your way to Everton. Don’t do it boy, I beg you, don’t do it. Liverpool has too many temptations for guys like us. Before you know it you will be dragged into the nightclubs. There Bacardi flows and you can ski on cocaine; and the women, Royston. Oh man, oh man, oh man. Those British women with their short skirts…”
