CHRIS O’DOWD, THE Irish actor of Bridesmaids and The IT Crowd fame, has become the latest well-known figure to support the ‘Mayo for Sam’ campaign.
You may baulk on account of the fact that O’Dowd is a Roscommon native, but a lack of an obvious allegiance to James Horan’s men didn’t stop Dubliner Andy Reid from previously expressing his support for the county.
Of course, O’Dowd has spoken of his love for GAA in the past, and in particular, former Roscommon stars Shane Curran and John Newton.
Thanks to reader Donal Healy for the photo.
Sure 31 counties plus the rest of the world will be shouting for Mayo!!
so true!!
in one un-named paper today that I saw in the canteen at work had 4, yes 4 pages about Dublin footballers and 3/4 of one page dedicated to both counties playing the hurling this wknd!!!!
w@nkers!!!
is it hellman’s?
never liked him
UP DA DUBS!!!
Only four pages, thats a disgrace,we should have our own paper due to the fact we are just bleeding deadly
The rest of the world can cheer for Mayo for all we care. Come match day our footballers will have all the support they need inside the walls of Croker.
Mayo have no chance!
Dream on mayo all the way
The amount of culchies that work in Dublin and live in Dublin yet have a chip on their shoulder towards Dublin is staggering.
Inferiority complex.
PS, those ‘keep calm’ tee-shirts are shite.
ABD!!
O’Dowd is hilarious, funny man, he can support who he likes, great thatll hell be watching the football, up the dubs
He’s obviously still in “massive demand” in hollywood and is taking time out to selling tacky shitty tee- shirts for a €5 .
