ZLATAN IBRAHIMOVIC USED his magic feet for ill deeds last weekend and the disciplinary chickens are coming home to roost.
The Swedish international will face a disciplinary committee for allegedly stamping on Dejan Lovren in Paris Saint-Germain’s 1-0 win over Lyon.
Ibrahimovic appeared to catch the Croatian centre-back on the forehead with his boot at the Parc des Princes, causing a head injury.
A video of the incident was examined by the French Professional Football League (LFP), and the 31-year-old has been invited to present his version of events in front of the commission.
“The commission, prompted by the Viewing Commission, calls up Ibrahimovic following his actions in the 40th minute against Lovren for a hearing on 10 January 2013,” an official communication read.
The former Barcelona striker has scored 18 goals in just 15 Ligue 1 games this season, but has already received one red card, against Saint-Etienne in November.
Speaking after the match, Ibrahimovic told BeIn Sports, “I didn’t see him. I had my eyes on the ball. Then he rolled in front of me.
“When I go onto the pitch, it’s certainly not to injure a player. There is a referee on the pitch to make decisions, and I respect that rule.”
