Fitzgerald and Henshaw named in Ireland Wolfhounds squad

Ireland coach Declan Kidney has given youth its chance ahead of the Friday night clash in Galway.

LUKE FITZGERALD AND Robbie Henshaw have been included in a 23 man Irish Wolfhounds squad to take on the England Saxons on Friday.

Andrew Trimble and Kevin McLaughlin, two players who would have hoped to make it into the main squad for the Six Nations, are also included.

Tom Court and Isaac Boss, who played for Ireland at the 2011 World Cup, have been asked to prove themselves, and provide guidance to the younger squad members, for the friendly fixture in Galway.

Assistant coach Les Kiss has said all players named in this squad still have a chance to feature against Wales.

Declan Kidney and Jamie Heaslip will be in Wales tomorrow for the official Six Nations launch, as well as the coaches and captains from the other countries competing the Six Ntions.

The England Saxons squad contains 13 players from the Saracens and Leicester Tigers teams that have reached the Heineken Cup quarter finals.

The match kicks off at 7:35pm on Friday at the Sportsground, Galway.

Interesting line up, good to give the lads a run, a few of them could still make the cut for the six nations.
