This woeful James Milner pass sums up how bad the England-Norway game was last night

Roy Hodgson’s side laboured to a 1-0 win.

ENGLAND STUTTERED TO a 1-0 win over Norway last night thanks to a Wayne Rooney penalty, prompting a largely unimpressed reaction from fans and critics alike.

Writing in The Guardian, Barney Ronay epitomised the sense of disillusionment with the current team, writing: “And of another new era dawning, once again, with a familiarly muted thud.”

Moreover, the low point was surely a pass (as seen below) from Man City’s James Milner, which was almost comically off its ostensible target.

Something tells us Milner won’t be getting in the City team anytime soon if he keeps that up.
