One of these 7 sports books will win the prestigious William Hill Prize this year

The winner will be announced on 27 November.

NEW BIOGRAPHIES ABOUT England’s World Cup winning captain Bobby Moore and the troubled life of British ice skating’s golden boy are among the contenders for the prestigious William Hill Sports Book of the Year 2014.

Organisers revealed the seven shortlisted titles for the £25,000 prize today.

Gareth Thomas, the Welsh rugby union star who came out as gay in 2009, is nominated for his autobiography Proud as is extreme athlete Kilian Jornet for Run or Die.

The winner will be announced on 27 November.
