WEST HAM UNITED have reportedly agreed a loan deal for Liverpool and England centre forward Andy Carroll.

Promoted from the Championship as play-off winners last season, West Ham are set to pay Liverpool £2 million to secure Carroll’s services for the 2012/13 campaign.

An agreement is believed to be in place for Carroll to join West Ham on a long-term basis if they avoid relegation, with the fee involved reported to be £17 million.

Carroll joined Liverpool from Newcastle United for a club record £35 million in January last year but has failed to make a significant impact during his time at Anfield.

The 23-year old scored just 11 times in 56 games, and had been linked with a move back to his former club.

Carroll shares an agent with West Ham manager Sam Allardyce and club captain Kevin Nolan, both formerly of Newcastle.

Nevertheless, it remains to be seen if the England international will agree to join the east London outfit.

  • Andy and the bright lights of London? great business for the likes of China white and the like but Cant see it working out for the hammers… hope he proves me wrong but what a write off of cash this involves for a player not even a full year at the club!! am sick and tired of hearing about the Liverpool way…. giving time to players and managers…. poor kenny didn’t get much time and now carol seems to be off to London to do his best frank worthington impression round the clubs of soho!!
