I’m a United fan, Rooney is a good player but strikes me as quite dim in the brain department. Anyway most Americans would be like Wayne who?

So far all I have read is Obama good GW Bush bad. Now I know that GW was no Einstein but he did do what easy needed as regards Iraq and Afghanistan. The only mistake was to stay to long.
And here is my reasoning. Iraq: Yes Iraq was about oil but it also had the added benefit of getting rid of an extremely brutal dictator. When Saddam used nerve gas against the Kurds you lot on the left cried crocodile tears and wrung your hands about the “poor Kurds”. And it was the same when he attacked the Marsh Arabs in the south. But were not prepared to do anything to stop him. And when you cry about the cost of filling your car just think about how much more expensive it would be with the Oil flowing from Iraq.
Secondly Afghanistan. GW was not long in office when the 911 attacks happened. What was he supposed to do. Just sit there and accept it. He did what anyone of us would have done in his place with the resources he had to hand. And he succeeded in removing Al Quida’s power base and their allies in the Taliban. Not a bad thing. Or have you forgotten that young girl in hospital in England. So if you are going to criticise GW do it about his domestic record.
