Here's the Waterford team for the Division 1A relegation play-off against Dublin

Derek McGrath makes two changes from the side that shipped a 20-point defeat against Kilkenny last week.

WATERFORD HAVE MADE two changes for Sunday’s Division 1A relegation play-off against Dublin.

Déise boss Derek McGrath has kept the changes to a minimum, showing faith in the same group that featured in last week’s 20-point shellacking against Kilkenny.

Ray Barry starts at corner-forward, mirroring the change made when Maurice Shanahan was forced off with a back spasm late in the first half in Nowlan Park.

Jamie Nagle, who was also replaced before the break, misses out on a place in the starting XV with Shane O’Sullivan dropping to wing-back and Seamus Prendergast slotting into the full-forward line.

Throw-in at Walsh Park is at 3.30pm.

Waterford (SH v Dublin): Stephen O’Keeffe (Ballygunner); Noel Connors (Passage), Shane Fives (Carrigtwohill), Tadgh de Burca (Clashmore/Kinsalebeg); Shane O’Sullivan (Ballygunner), Michael Walsh (Stradbally), Philip Mahony (Ballygunner); Kevin Moran (De La Salle), Stephen Molumphy (Ballyduff Upper); Jamie Barron (Fourmilewater), Pauric Mahony (Ballygunner), Austin Gleeson (Mount Sion); Brian O’Sullivan (Ballygunner), Seamus Prendergast (Ardmore), Ray Barry (Lismore).

My opinion would be that home advantage will be the telling factor. We have it so I think we will win by a point or two. Had the match been in Parnell park I would have Dublin to win by a few. Time will tell but I suppose.

Here is the bet of the weekend… Dublin -1pt @ 11/10… Waterford have being bullied physically in the last two games. Expect that pattern to continue with dublin, arguably the most physical team in the country at the the moment and pretty damn skilful too… Oh yeah, they’ve also got one of the best tactical coaches in the country too as opposed to the naievity that Derek mc Grath has shown in the last two game…

Waterford 1-13 Dublin 1-10 was the score when the meet a few weeks ago, the Brick was sent off for a nothing foul in the first half, most of the game played a man down and only for a late goal and couple of points Made the score look better. Would that contradict what you are saying?

Only looking for other opinions… Still think its money for jam… Waterford have gone backwards throughout the league… While Dublin haven’t finished off particularly strong either, I still think they’ll have too much muscle and fire power…

There was only one away win in the entire league. The form is with the home teams. In their last two games Waterford played the All Ireland champions and Kilkenny, who are favourites to win the league. Both away from home. Every county has hit good and bad patches in the last few games.

Waterford in Walsh park against Dublin is going to be a cracker of a match. The bookies have them pretty much even and I have to agree. Wouldn’t like to be banking on any outcome here. Don’t know where your getting your money for jam….

Youd be better off sticking it on Dublin in the football.

How’s this for a contrary opinion Cathal, your super tactical coach and his team hadn’t the brains to point a free at the end of the Tipp match which would have put Tipp in the relegation game and the Dubs in the quarter final .
    Waterford to win.
