Ex Waterford hurlers Frampton and Bennett hit holes-in-one...in the same round of golf

The former Deise stars achieved the feat last Sunday at Faithlegg Golf Club.

THEIR STORIED CAREERS as Waterford senior hurlers have drawn to a close but that doesn’t mean Stephen Frampton and Dave Bennett are still not shining on the sporting stage.

Last Sunday the pair teed up at Faithlegg Golf Club, where they are both members, in Waterford to compete in a club competition.

Frampton lined up a five iron to the 190 yard, Par 3 6th hole and was left celebrating after striking a hole-in-one.

About 20 minutes later, his playing partner Bennett remarkably followed suit as he registered a hole-in-one with an eight iron shot to the 150 yard, Par 3 9th hole.

Considering that the odds of an amateur golfer hitting a hole-in-one on a Par 3 hole is roughly 12,500/1, it is a stunning feat for both players to manage the feat, while playing together in the same round.

Do any of the lads at Carton House this week need some tips?
