WATCH: Marcos Baghdatis gets homicidal on his rackets

Not just one racket, not two. Nope, not three….

THERE ARE FEW sights in sport that amuse us quite as much as a tennis player going berserk. Maybe it’s the sudden overflow of emotion that comes when inner turmoil becomes, well, outer turmoil or maybe it’s just the funny headbands that make us imagine Rambo playing at Wimbledon.

When Marco Baghdatis, who rose to fame by reaching the Australian Open final in 2006, found the going getting a little tough against Stanislas Wawrinka last night; he exacted revenge on his racket. Nothing new there, but then he vanquished another one and another.

All told the corpes of four rackets were removed from the Cypriot before he returned to the court to win the third set.

Wawrinka, however, proved to be only temporarily put off and eventually ran out the winner by three sets to one.
