THIS MORNING SAW hosts New Zealand beaten by South Africa in Pool C of the Junior World Championship, but the Kiwis did rack up a win in their opening fixture against Samoa on Monday.

Ahead of that clash against the Polynesian island nation, the Baby Blacks performed their traditional Haka, while the Samoans responded almost immediately with their own war dance, the Siva Tau.

The result was a unique and thrilling spectacle at QBE Stadium in Auckland. New Zealand went on to win the encounter 48-12.
