In the absence of TV coverage, we’re down to amateur footage of Ireland’s 29-28 defeat.

WITH NO BROADCASTER apparently willing to take up the feed from Ireland’s summer send-off against the Barbarians, we are grateful to the diligence of the rugby public for pulling out their phones and risking a dead battery when a try is on the way.

Former England captain, Mike Tindall, grounded this score just before the hour mark – when Donncha O’Callaghan arrived on the field like clockwork.

The Baa Baas took a line-out from the 22 and drove at Ireland’s posts.

Once there, it took just one quick pass from Rory Lawson and Tindall was barreling his way over Darren Cave with Paddy Wallace swinging a high arm in late desperation. Must do better, lads.

Tindall has played for Gloucester at Kingsholm for seven years, but that could well be his final try at the ground as he now appears to be on the lookout for a new club after not being offered a new deal.
