JUST THE SECOND week of the season, and we’ve already had our first match called off.

Sunderland v Reading at the Stadium of Light fell foul of the appalling weather in the North-East.

When it was forecast that the torrential downpour were not about to stop any time soon, referee Neil Swarbrick decided to call the game off, after consulting with the two managers.
