The Irish cyclist made history yesterday.

TRACK CYCLIST MARTYN Irvine became the first Irish male in 116 years to win a medal at the World Track Championships yesterday.

The Irishman triumphed in a thrilling finale yesterday, winning a gold in the Men’s Scratch Race, in addition to his silver in the Men’s Individual Pursuit earlier in the day.
