VIDEO: Linesman tells Joleon Lescott to ‘go and see’ the City fans

The official told the defender to “go and see them” as they had paid “62 quid” to attend the game.

THERE WAS AN odd moment today following Manchester City’s 2-0 win over Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.

As Joleon Lescott and other City players shook hands with the officials, the linesman urged the defender to “go and see” the club’s fans who, as he pointed out, had paid “62 quid” to see their team play.

Indeed, the exorbitant prices to attend the fixture meant there were several empty seats in the area reserved for away supporters at the ground, while one fan showcased a t-shirt that read: “Stick your ticket prices up your Arsenal! C.T.I.D [City Til' I Die].”

So what do you make of the linesman’s unusual behaviour? Let us know in the comments section below.
