JOB DONE FOR Conor Counihan this afternoon. The Cork manager saw his side claim a Munster senior final triumph against Clare in the Gaelic Grounds by a convincing twelve-point margin.
The success means Counihan has claimed three provincial senior titles as Rebels boss after previously claiming crowns in 2008 and 2009.
Three first-half goals paved the way for this triumph and now Counihan will turn his attention to the All-Ireland stages as he plans to regain a title that Cork last won in 2010.
Cork are the first team to book their place in the last eight of this year’s All-Ireland series and will now have a break from action until the August Bank Holiday weekend.
Here’s what the Aghada native had to say when speaking to TV3 in the aftermath of today’s game.
