WE FREQUENTLY STRUGGLE to keep up with the puck during a game of ice hockey, which makes moments like this even more incredible.

Trailing 5-1 in their Western Conference semi-final against the LA Kings, the St Louis Blues thought they had got a goal back during a powerplay in the second period.

But somehow — who knows how? — LA stopper Jonathan Quick managed to keep it out through a combination of skate, glove and pure instinct.

St Louis did eventually get a goal back but they still lost 5-2, allowing the Kings to take a 2-0 series lead.
