AFTER THE REFEREE denied Hull’s George Boyd a penalty for seemingly going down easily, fans were bemused as to why it was Hart rather than Boyd who was incensed after the incident in today’s Hull-Man City Premier League clash.
The goalkeeper was even booked for the angry manner in which he confronted Boyd despite not conceding the penalty.
The source of his ire eventually became clear however, after footage subsequently emerged of the Hull player spitting on the England goalkeeper.
Boyd is likely to face a lengthy ban as a result of his actions.
