Dortmund progress to Champions League semi-finals after astonishing finale

The Bundesliga champions are into the final four thanks to two injury-time goals in as many minutes.

BORUSSIA DORTMUND SCORED twice in stoppage time to beat Malaga 3-2 on aggregate and qualify for the Champions League semi-finals on Tuesday.

The Germans were heading out on away goals until a crazy three-minute period featuring two goals saw the match swing one way and then the other.

Malaga first moved 2-1 ahead before Dortmund’s dramatic finale gave them a 3-2 success on the night and overall.

Hard on Malaga I always like the underdog to win, but now Dortmund have progressed, they will be most unlikely underdog so I shall support them from now on.

Think it was demichelis who totally missed the clearing header for the first stoppage time goal. There were about 16 or 17 dortmund players offside for the second.

Have a look for the Malaga owner on twitter claiming they were knocked out as a result of racism and that he is going to launch an investigation in to it…

Incredible finish to what was already a great game of football.

Santana was behind the goalkeeper but in front of the last defender so therefore offside. The Offside rule applies to the second last defender (usually leaving just the keeper to beat but the roles were switched here).

In truth, from a linesmans angle the keeper could have been anywhere given he was diving backwards at the time the ball was played. Remember we have the benefit of replays etc, and the striker should have the benefit of the doubt.

The offside before that was unforgivable though, as was the offside for Malaga’s second. At least the bad decisions canceled each other out. Neither team has much room for complaint. Malaga should have shut it out, and had Dortmund gone out they should have taken one of the many chances they had in both the games. The goalkeeper Willy pulled out two incredible saves today though, massive buy for 800,000 from the second division!

Enough with the Liverpool shite hijacking every football thread on here , delusional supporters. Yes it was an exceptional team of players who dominated europe for 10 years. But some perspective.. In 1978 they only played 6 games to get to a European final. Losing 2 of them before beating the mighty club Bruges in the final. You play 6 games in the first group stage now.. Yes it was only champions who played in it but most of them were very poor. The real madrid team that they beat in the 1981 final should have been beaten by limerick in the first round that year… Keep up the subscription to the history channel

World was a bigger place back then, air travel was a big deal, flying to eastern Europe was like the other side of the world. Corrupt referees, shocking home town decisions, teams were lucky if they got to sleep night before a game. Easier to win back then, pure rubbish !, even as a Liverpool fan I freely admit the united 68 team was your best ever, ask Best, Stiles and Charlton how easy it was, sure they only had to beat Real Madrid and Eusebio’s Benfica, go ahead and devalue it why don’t ye. And Celtic (the champions) got put out in the first round by Dynamo Kiev that year.
