Should this controversial Andy Reid goal have stood last night?

The Irishman scored for Forest last night in front of a watching Roy Keane.

QPR WERE BEATEN 2-0 by Nottingham Forest last night, yet the goal that effectively won Billy Davies’ side the game was controversial to say the least.

Andy Reid beat the offside trap to coolly slot the ball into the net, with Ireland assistant manager Roy Keane watching on in the stands. However, the QPR players had stopped playing after the linesman had raised his flag.

Surprisingly though, the referee overruled his assistant’s decision and allowed the goal to stand, after Greg Halford was deemed not to have made the necessary contact with the ball that have would have rendered the Irish international offside.

Was he still interfering with play though? Watch it below and judge for yourself.
