ULSTER’S UPCOMING RABODIRECT Pro12 match against Zebre has been postponed following the death of centre Nevin Spence last weekend.
Mark Anscombe’s men were due to travel to Parma this week for a match against the Italian side on Friday, 21 September.
As expected, a short statement from the Pro12 confirmed that fixture will now be played a later date. An announcement will be made in due course with the rescheduled information.
A moment of silence for Spence, his father Noel and his brother Graham will be observed at all matches in the competition this weekend.
A similar tribute was paid to the Spence family before Sunday’s All-Ireland Senior Camogie Final between Wexford and Cork in Croke Park and also in England before Bristol’s RFU Championship game against the Cornish Pirates.
The three men died tragically in an accident on Saturday evening on their farm in Hillsborough, County Down. They are survived by mother and wife Essie Spence and her daughters Emma and Laura, as well as Graham’s wife and the couple’s two children.
Books of condolence have been opened at Ulster’s Ravenhill and at the IRFU offices on Lansdowne Road.
Sad to see people seem to forget that Nevin’s brother Graham was married with two kids. Sincere condolences to his wife and children following the loss of her husband and their father! Rest in peace x
Is there an online book of condolence? Rip Spence family

Thank you for changing the story to include Graham’s wife and children. I don’t know them but my heart goes out to all.
