Stephen Cluxton is like God. He does his talking on the pitch and that will do for me. Enjoy your barfly commentators, I will take Cluxton every time.

He can be the most boring man in the world for all we care! We have the best kepper in the country and he does his job on the pitch. He’s a footballer, not a public speaker.

G’wan the anti dub brigade . . . They done the exact same thing 99.999% other counties do/ would do in dying minutes of big championship game!!! Football is full of cynical fouling at every level.happens in every game junior/ intermediate/senior level. There is not one county in ireland that dosent commit cynical fouls!!

looking at the rerun of the 1st half on Tg4 . The shot from Keith Higgins at the start of the match that was adjudicated wide by Hawkeye was a score. No doubts that Dublin were the better team but the margin at the end was one point. Hasn’t been discussed much .

Hawkeye said miss in the Limerick – Galway match in August as well. A decision that the dogs in the street know was wrong. Hopefully after today we will never see this ”technology” in Croker again. A fiasco.

Good man John…those are the rules of play, you obviously seem to forget the a game of 74 minutes cannot come down to 1 decision either way…. if that where the case Mayo scored two frees that were never frees….when you play the game their are a lot more factors than your call and by the way you are the only one making the call

Barry – a decision that was wrong should always be questioned – especially when there was the narrowest of margins at the end. Both sides got dodgy frees in the last 20 mins of the game, when referee McQuillan was losing control. On this website , I agree not many have referenced this call but it has been discussed elsewhere , ie the Radio 1 sports show at 6.

The ball was shown on tv going straight through the post which would be a miss. Completely different from the incident in the hurling, where the ball was shown going through the posts and then it said miss.

The Hawkeye clearly showed the ball hitting the post. If the post was that high it would not have scored (rebound?). Its clear as day.

O’Connor got a yellow for a fair shoulder and Mayo scored from that.

    Ref was poor
