Trapattoni stays in Italy to mourn the passing of his sister

The Italian was due in Dublin to name his squad for next month’s friendly with Poland.

IRELAND MANAGER GIOVANNI Trapattoni hasn’t travelled to Dublin for this afternoon’s scheduled squad announcement as his sister has passed away.

Romilde Trapattoni, 81, died overnight in Italy and Giovanni will remain in his homeland.

The squad for the Poland friendly on February 6 will still be released later today, however.

3 players we would like to see named in Trap’s squad

Maybe have a bit of respect if you dont want your comments removed .. No matter what you think of him as a manager, the man just lost his sister, and deserves a bit of common curtiosy.
