Trap rings the changes as Irish look to close the deal against Estonia

Manager Giovanni Trapattoni has named the XI that will take the team for the play-off second-leg in Dublin tomorrow night.

GIOVANNI TRAPATTONI HAS made three changes to his starting XI for tomorrow night’s game with Estonia.

The Ireland manager held a press briefing in Malahide this afternoon, after what was a very relaxed looking squad training session at Gannon Park this morning.

His side face Estonia at Landowne Rd, holding a very commanding 4-0 lead from the first leg in Tallinn last Friday.

John O’Shea is fit again and replaces the injured Stephen Kelly at full-back while Kevin Doyle returns from suspension to partner Robbie Keane up front, in place of Tallinn goalscorer Jonathon Walters.

Stephen Hunt gets his chance in the starting side in place of Aiden McGeady, meanwhile.

LA Galaxy asked Keane to return to the States as they continue their post-season run, but the Tallaght man refused, he said.

More to follow

Ireland team to face Estonia: Given, Ward, O’Shea, Dunne, St Ledger; Whelan, Duff, Andrews, Doyle, Hunt, Keane.

We was robbed: Estonian media and fans left unimpressed by Irish defeat
