Trap names team to face Estonia... well almost

Ireland manager lets us know 10 of the 11 names on his team-sheet for tomorrow night’s game in Tallinn.

GIOVANNI TRAPATTONI HAS named 10 of the 11 players that will line out in Tallinn tomorrow.

Ireland face Estonia in the first leg of their Euro 20112 qualification play-off tomorrow night.

But the Italian has delayed making his decision on who starts up front with skipper Robbie Keane.

West Brom forward and Jonathon Walters of Stoke City are the two options in a panel which has been deprived of Shane Long, Leon Best and Kevin Doyle for the game.

So the line-up Trap has revealed in the pre-match  press conference at the A Le Coq Arena in the past 30 minutes is: Given, Kelly, St Ledger, Dunne, Ward; McGeady, Andrews, Whelan, Duff; Keane and Walters/Cox

What do you think of that?

No point playing for a draw away. If we give them s sniff of a chance come Dublin and with our lads history of nervous displays the Estonians could just do enough to upset our plans. I hope we go out to win tomorrow. 2-0 to Ireland.

Who else would you have opted for in O’Shea’s absence?

Only 1 option. Coleman, but Trap would never make such a bold move unless forced into it.

If Walters starts i believe he will perform and the question will be why he hasnt featured up to this point and why he only made his competetive debut against Armenia.

Just get the job done they will never have an easier qualifier the faroes were better than Estonia. Hopefully trap will promote within the squad the better quality players come tournament time. He is plainly sticking with his system players he will have no choice but to shake it up for the tournament otherwise we will be sitting ducks to those who study the tapes and pinpoint our weaknesses.

Hunt is a good option from the bench to run at them like a mad headless chicken in the last 10 minutes…. He’s good at that. Not a player to start when we have Duff and McGeady playing well enough…

Ward and Andrews are a huge worry. Games have been passing them by during this campaign. Other than that it’s time to get behind your country and forget the criticisms. Trap has gotten us this far
