Tottenham is my focus, insists relieved Harry Redknapp

“I’ve not even thought about it. I’ve got a job to do,” Redknapp told reporters as he left his home earlier.

SPURS BOSS HARRY Redknapp insists he has ‘not even thought’ about becoming the next England manager.

Redknapp was cleared of tax evasion, with co-defendant Milan Mandaric yesterday, on a dramatic day in English football.

Last night, after an hour-long meeting at Wembley, Fabio Capello resigned as national team boss over a row about John Terry losing the captain’s job.

“I’ve not even thought about it. I’ve got a job to do,” Redknapp told Sky reporters as he left his home earlier.

“I’ve got a big game on Saturday for Tottenham. Tottenham is my focus.”

Spurs face Newcastle at the weekend – and Magpies boss Alan Pardew has ruled himself out of the running for the national team job. Redknapp though insists the speculation is of no concern.

“I’ve never thought about it. They (the Football Association) will make whatever decision they want to make. Hopefully it’ll be the right decision for the country but my focus is all on Tottenham.”
