TOTTENHAM HAVE UNVEILED Etienne Capoue as their latest signing after completing a deal with Toulouse for the France international.
Capoue had previously completed a medical at White Hart Lane and has now finalised his move after agreeing personal terms.
The 25-year-old came through the youth ranks at Toulouse and spent six seasons in the first team for the Ligue 1 outfit.
He had been linked with a move to the Premier League for some time, and Tottenham have fended off reported interest from the likes of Cardiff to bolster their midfield options.

He becomes Andre Villas-Boas’ fourth signing of the close-season, following the captures of Roberto Soldado, Nacer Chadli and Paulinho.
Capoue made 174 appearances for Toulouse, and has seven caps for France.

Spurs are also in the process of building a new 55,000 seater stadium & have the financial weight of Joe Lewis behind them so onwards & upwards. Don’t be surprised if Levy, one of the shrewdest men in the game, has a few more aces up his sleeve before the transfer deadline.

I thought he was a defensive midfielder, not a striker as it says in your headline?
If Bale isn’t on the way out, I’d love to know where Spurs are getting all the money for these signings from.
He is a defensive midfielder, not a striker as reported…
Defensive midfielder and can also play centre back…very good signing

Headline changed
Chris I doubt spurs are spending on the strength of MAYBE selling Gareth bale! Bad business if that was the case and Daniel levy is a very shrewd man. He wouldn’t make that mistake.. Remember spits are owned by joe Lewis a multi billionaire
Come on folks… its Spurs!! They’ll do feck all as usual
Shite hart lane ;-)
Yet another fantastic signing for Spurs!! Now if we manage to add a centre-back (to replace the unfortunate sale of Caulker), a left back (Coentrao) & another quality striker (Lamela, Osvaldo), Spurs are capable of seriously challenging this season – with or without Bale!
**Spurs** are owned by joe Lewis even
Spot on Barry, I reckon that Daniel Levy has found a manager in AVB that he completely trusts, has added Baldini as director of football ( and transfers) . Levy is in turn trusted by Joe Lewis who has opened the purse strings to make an investment into the club to grow it with the potential of greatly increasing its value and possibly selling it off in the future. Gareth Bale is a big part of that, in that he has massive global appeal, raising the clubs profile. Plans are in place for a huge revamp / extension of white hart lane. Expect Spurs to be very competitive this year.
