TONY PULIS HAS left his role as Crystal Palace manager by mutual consent in a dramatic twist less than two days before the Eagles kick off their season away to Arsenal.
Odds of Pulis being the next Premier League manager to leave his job plummeted to 3/1 early this afternoon as rumour spread of intense disagreement between the ex-Stoke boss and chairman Steve Parish.
Pulis has reportedly been unhappy with Palace’s transfer business this summer after a season in which he took the London club to an 11th place finish having taken over from Ian Holloway last November.
‘Mutual consent’ is the official reason given by the club for Pulis’ departure. Assistant Keith Millen has handed the reins for the opening day fixture at the Emirates with Neil Lennon and Malky MacKay the favourites to take over the role full time.
