FORMER KERRY FOOTBALLER Tommy Walsh will miss the rest of the current AFL campaign due to an injury sustained while playing for the Sydney Swans.
25-year-old Walsh, who won an All-Ireland senior football title with the Kingdom in 2009 before departing for Australia, tore the hamstring off his bone in the second quarter of the Swans’ game against Essendon on Saturday and will need to have surgery according to the club’s official site.
In what has been described as a “horror injury” Walsh, landed awkwardly and will be sidelined for the season.
