THE TIPPERARY FOOTBALLERS look set to be without star attacker Barry Grogan for Saturday week’s All-Ireland round one qualifier against Galway.
Grogan broke his finger in a hurling game with his club Aherlow on Sunday evening and is likely to require surgery to repair the damage caused.
Time is against him to be fit for the June 29th trip to Pearse Stadium to face the Tribesmen.
Grogan would be a significant loss as he has been the chief scorer for the side in recent seasons and is particularly accurate from frees.
He hit 0-3 in the Munster quarter-final loss to Kerry before being sent-off midway through the second-half for a second bookable offence.
Tipperary are already without 2011 All-Ireland minor winning attacker Michael Quinlivan as he has gone to the USA for the summer.

The fitness of Tipperary wing-back Brian Fox is also unclear. Fox has been a key asset for the team in recent seasons but missed the defeat to the Kingdom after also breaking a finger.
He underwent an operation in Waterford after sustaining that injury and his return would be a boost to the Premier side.
