Things to do with the snow, part 17: use it to pelt your football club's unpopular owners

Disclaimer: TheScore.ie does not approve of fans snowballing football execs. Not even at Blackburn.

SNOW IS MEANT to be fun, not a weapon, but try telling that to the angry Blackburn Rovers fans who gathered outside Ewood Park on Saturday afternoon to, erm, “welcome” the Venky’s group back to Lancashire.

Poor Jitendra Desai, husband of club owner Anuradha, bore the brunt of the supporters’ rage, expressed through the medium of a perfectly-flighted snowball.

The Daily Mail reports that Desai “looked distressed” but “looked for something to wipe the snow from his face” would probably be a more accurate description.

He wasn’t the only victim of a foul snow attack this weekend. Manchester United’s Patrice Evra was also pelted by Tottenham fans as he waited to take a throw in at (Snow) White Hart Lane on Sunday….

… while Aston Villa’s Joe Bennett was saved only by this fan’s awful aim as he waited to take a throw against West Brom on Saturday evening.
