ON A CRAZY final day of ups and downs in the Championship, one of the most bizarre moments came at Vicarage Road where they played almost 18 MINUTES of stoppage time at the end of the first half.

The game was delayed for a long spell after Watford’s teenage keeper Jonathan Bond was badly hurt in a collision with defender Ikechi Anya.

Bond — who only started the game following a late injury to Manuel Almunia — was treated with oxygen before he was eventually stretchered off and replaced by Jack Bonham.

The fourth official indicated 16 minutes of added time but referee Graham Salisbury played almost 18 before whistling for the break.

It finished 2-1 to Leeds, leaving Watford to settle for third spot and a place in the play-offs.
