FERRARI DRIVER FELIPE Massa is not happy with the start he has made to the 2012 Formula One season.
The Brazilian has not won a point in the first two races of the season, while his teammate, Fernando Alonso, sits on top of the drivers’ championship standings.
Massa was forced to retire in the season-opener in Australia before finishing 12th in Malaysia.
“I’m disappointed because the first two races didn’t go as I expected them to go,” Massa said.
“I am a bit annoyed about it. But I’m keen to make sure that from now on we really perform to our potential.”
Massa has spent time at the team’s base in Marinello, allowing him to evaluate what has gone wrong ahead of the Chinese Grand Prix on April 15.
He also praised the support he has received from his team after a difficult start to 2012.
“Not scoring points in two races has been a poor start, but now I am here in Marinello to examine everything that happened in those two races, so that in the future I avoid making similar mistakes,” he said.“That is the best way to react to such disappointment. I do feel that the team have faith in me. I have spent time here at Marinello in an attempt to come good on this faith and start transforming it into good results.
“For me, the support from the team and the help they provide is vital, and to get good results we need to make sure that the team is united in that goal.”
