2. #EURO 2012 The Italian team were yesterday caught up in yet another match-fixing scandal which has resulted in Zenit St Petersburg full-back Domenico Criscito being omitted from Cesare Prandelli’s squad. In total, 19 people were arrested during a police raid yesterday morning.

3. #OUTSPOKEN Former Mayo footballer David Brady has labelled former head coach of the Tipperary footballers John Evans a “mercenary” for joining the Meath staff. The former intercounty footballer said on last night’s Off The Ball:

“What if (Meath) play Tipp in a football qualifier? They could meet and it is a bit unfair. It’s a bit of a mercenary job.”

4. #SKIPPER Ronan O’Gara will captain Ireland in today’s fixture with the Barbarians. Coach Declan Kidney has named an experimental side with five uncapped players included in the starting XV ahead of next month’s tour of New Zealand.

5. #FINALLY Eden Hazard has at last unveiled the club he will join this summer after months of speculation. The highly-rated Belgian winger tweeted last night that he would be signing for Champions League winners Chelsea in a deal that is believed to be worth €40 million.
