1. #GAA Cork were crowned Ladies Football champions at Croke Park yesterday with a 0-16 to 0-7 win over Munster rivals Kerry yesterday. Elsewhere it was a busy day of club action throughout the country. Here’s how it unfolded.

2. #LA LIGA Barcelona and Real Madrid shared the spoils after a thrilling El Clasico at the Nou Camp last night. The two superstars Messi and Ronaldo scored a brace each as the La Liga giants played out a very entertaining 2-2 stalemate.

3. #COYBIG Glenn Whelan is the latest Irish player to pick up an injury ahead of next week’s meeting with Germany. The Stoke City midfielder lasted just 20 minutes of their Premier League draw with Liverpool at the Britannia Stadium this afternoon after pulling up with a hamstring problem.

4. #DIVE Stoke boss Tony Pulis says Liverpool striker Luis Suarez should be punished for an alleged dive during the scoreless draw at Anfield yesterday. Elsewhere, Manchester United had a 3-0 win over Newcastle on Tyneside but Alan Pardew afterwards insisted Robin van Persie should be banned for an elbow on Yohann Cabaye.

5. #SHOWPIECE St Pat’s booked their place in the FAI Cup with a 3-0 win over Dundalk yesterday but they’ll have to wait to see who they face at the Aviva Stadium. Shels will host Derry in a replay after they earned a 1-1 draw at the Brandywell.
