The Morning Score: Monday

Here’s everything you need to know this morning — apart from how to compete against a tiki-taka masterclass.

1. #EURO 2012 Spain put the “boring” tag and debate about “false nines” to bed last night with an awesome 4-0 win against Italy in the final of Euro 2012.

David Silva, Jordi Alba, Fernando Torres and Juan Mata got the goals as La Roja tore Cesare Prandelli’s men to pieces and claimed their third successive win at a major championship.

2. #GAA Old rivals Dublin and Meath will meet in this year’s Leinster SFC final after the Royals shocked Kieran McGeeney’s Kildare in Croke Park yesterday, winning 1-17 to 1-11.

Dublin made hard work of their semi-final against Wexford before running out 2-11 to 1-10 winners. Pat Gilroy’s men look certain to be without Diarmuid Connolly for the Leinster final after the St Vincent’s forward was shown a straight red card during the second half.

3. #QUALIFIERS The Seanie Johnston saga took another turn this morning as Cavan and Kildare were paired together in the draw for the second round of this year’s All-Ireland Football Qualifiers.

The draw in full is: Antrim v Galway; Leitrim v Wicklow; Westmeath v Kerry; Roscommon v Tyrone; Longford v Limerick; Cavan v Kildare; Laois v Monaghan; Tipperary v Wexford.

4. #AT&T NATIONAL Tiger Woods got another W last night — his third of 2012 — at the AT&T National at Congressional. Woods shot a final round of two-under par to finish two shots clear of runner-up Bo van Pelt and three clear of Adam Scott.

5. #BOLT For the second time in 48 hours, the fastest man on the planet was beaten by his would-be successor. Fresh from his win in Friday’s 100m final at the Jamaican Olympic trials, Yohan Blake stunned Usain Bolt again last night, winning the 200m in 19.80 seconds — 0.03s ahead of the reigning Olympic champion.

6. #EURO 2012 Before we close the door on Euro 2012, here’s one for the road. The tournament was a disappointment for Ireland on the pitch, but off it, the fans were one of its big hits. Ten of them take TheScore.ie behind the scenes of the trip of a lifetime.
