The man Jay-Z once dissed in a rap song will now play for his NBA team

DeShawn Stevenson is set to sign a one-year, $2.5 million contract with the Nets – despite his new boss mocking him on record.

AS A MINORITY owner for the Nets NBA franchise, Jay-Z will play a role in the team’s next uniform design, open up their new arena, the Barclays Center, with a series of concerts and serve as the key figurehead for the team’s move to Brooklyn.

But he clearly has no say in personnel matters.

DeShawn Stevenson is set to sign a one-year, $2.5 million contract with the Nets, according to the New York Daily News.

This is the same Stevenson that enjoyed the wrath of Jay-Z several years ago, when he got dissed by Hova for his public quarrel with the rapper’s good friend, LeBron James.

Did time heal Jay-Z’s wound? Or maybe this is all a ploy to deflect attention off the Nets’ latest foil, Kris Humphries.

At the very least, the man with the Abraham Lincoln neck tattoo should capture some of the votes currently held by the league’s least liked player.

Just another savvy business move by Jigga. The man who’s not a businessman, but a business, man.
